A Table for Every Occasion
In collaboration with Antonio Lorenzon on Food Network
Finally I can share with you a special news: Borgo delle Tovaglie will be featured in A Tavola con Lorenzon, the Food Network program with the famous chef! Every Monday at 10 p.m. on digital terrestrial channel 33 and on Sky channel 417 a new mise en place in the pure Borgo delle Tovaglie style, in harmony with the themes of the Masterchef 9 winner's recipes.
This adventure came about naturally, almost spontaneously, from the mutual esteem that Antonio and I have had for each other's work for years. We met several times, always in creative settings, and each time we discovered new commonalities. I love his cooking, just as he loves the elegance and care we put into our tables. That's why, when the idea of a program combining cooking and design was born, it was almost automatic to think of a project together.
In each episode, Antonio Lorenzon will guide us through creative recipes that will be matched by our tables decorated with our unique style. Each mise en place will be a journey between elegance, creativity and fine materials, with special attention to details and tailored fabrics that characterize Borgo delle Tovaglie. We will see together how to create original and refined tables for different occasions with attention to every detail, from the choice of colors, tablecloths and accessories
Each week, you will find the products that make up the table set in the episode in special promo with a 15% discount.
Mounsier Table
In this installment, I wanted to create a mise en place that reflected masculine elegance and sartorial sophistication. For the Monsieur Table, I chose our Riga Ugo black and steel gray tablecloth, and wide, understated cotton stripes give the table a bold character.
In the center, I placed the runner from the Filo line in a gray barbed fabric, In fabric profiled in black that adds depth, and complemented it with Check Edward and Prince of Wales napkins, inspired by classic men's tailoring patterns.
Baby Shower Table
Here is one of our sweetest and most delicate mise en place, designed for a tradition that is gaining momentum: the Baby Shower Table.
But what is a Baby Shower? It is a custom created to celebrate the anticipation of new life, where friends and family gather to celebrate and it is also an opportunity to reveal the sex of the unborn baby.
We chose our Eden Ikat Cielo tablecloth with a pink millerighe border embellished with a mini ikat runner, which gives a subtle yet bold contrasting touch.
Table Raffinata
That's why in this installment of A Tavola con Lorenzon, we decided to suggest a refined mise en place that will suit the occasions that are likely to put you in the most difficulty, without sacrificing your desire to stand out.
I chose the Sfogliatella Mastice Avorio linen tablecloth, paired with Filo runners and Erica ivory and mastic placemats. Modern plates in ivory and mastic go well with brushed steel flatware and scalloped crystal glasses. The centerpiece, with flowers in cream tones and ivory candles, completes the atmosphere.
