Every collection I create for Borgo delle Tovaglie stems from my way of looking at the world. I don't seek rational consistency or an idea that will make an impact.
Every collection I create for Borgo delle Tovaglie stems from my way of looking at the world. I don't seek rational consistency or striking ideas. What really drives me is curiosity: curiosity about fabrics, architecture, colors that reveal themselves under unexpected lighting, objects hidden in flea markets or in the drawers of houses I happen to visit.
I like to think of my home and the homes of those who love our style as those of a traveling collector, a passionate aesthete who collects emotions, details, and suggestions without following fixed patterns but instead following intuition, a desire for beauty.
The fabrics I choose are never just for looking at: they have a full texture, a softness that slips through your fingers, a weight that speaks of their quality. The fringes, silky and rich, hand-woven on our looms, fall fluidly and thickly, like small textile architectures. The golds are never flat: they are worked in multiple shades, from light to shaded, to give three-dimensionality and depth. The Fall/Winter 2025 Collection stems from this idea of a journey made up of materials, looks, and atmospheres gathered and transformed into fabric. It is a visual and sensory journey, eclectic but always refined: prints, stripes, florals, and antique or ethnic details find a common thread in the sophistication of the colors and the richness of the workmanship. A home that, like that of a collector, is not afraid to combine different patterns, because each combination becomes part of a personal story.
